Further Activities in Parcines

Besides hiking and cycling, numerous other summer sporting facilities are to be found in and around Parcines/Partschins including climbing, swimming, paragliding and tennis. The scenic views from the well maintained tennis courts and local public swimming pool are an added draw for both visitors and residents.

Known as the as the gateway to the Texelgruppe Nature Park, Parcines is the entrance to two hiking areas, each served by its own cable car. To the north, the Texelbahn Cable Car leads up the Sonnenberg mountain, while on the south side the Aschbach Cable Car reaches up into the Nörderberg mountain.

The 33m-long swimming pool in Parcines/Partschins has a children’s area and a spacious lawn with plenty of shade. Thanks to its scenic views of the surrounding mountains the pool also attracts visitors from Merano/Meran.

The Burgstallknott gneiss wall gym in the village of Vertignes/Vertigen near Parcines/Partschins is also suited to beginners. The wall can also be accessed from the top, allowing practically risk-free solo climbing.
