Our wines

On the historic Mairhof, in the center of Parcines, Matthias Bernhart and his family manage the wine and fruit-growing business. Wine has been pressed on the farm since ancient times, the farm has been family-owned for about 90 years and started again around 40 years ago Planting vines to cover one's own needs Only a few years ago, the vineyard area was expanded and a new wine cellar was built.

The range includes Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, which is hard to find in our area, Vernatsch, Pinot Noir and Lagrein, which is expanded as Rosè! Not all varieties are already in production as they were only planted recently. As far as viticulture is concerned, the company is very small in structure, but is constantly growing.
Our vineyards are all oriented to the south-south-west, i.e. in an ideal exposure to the sun. They are all at 600 to 650 m above sea level and produce very juicy grapes , fruity wines that can score with crisp acidity. The white wines in particular live from a beautiful minerality.
Most of the aging takes place in stainless steel tanks.

Our farm currently covers around 5000 m2 and we grow the following varieties: Vernatsch, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Grüner Veltliner, Lagrein, which is made into a lighter rose wine, Pinot Blanc and Zweigelt.

It should be mentioned that some wines will only be available for sale from May 2023 As you can see from the operating area, we are a very small company that will certainly be expanded to a certain point in the coming years. 4 years ago we rebuilt the wine cellar and the oldest part of the house (800 years) into a very attractive one Remodeled tasting room. The selection of varieties is traditional (Vernatsch and Pinot Noir) as well as a bit more modern, Grüner Veltliner in particular is not to be found in our area. Our vineyards have good exposure to the sun and are very airy, which means that many plant protection treatments can be saved and this in turn benefits the wines! The wines themselves are fruity and characterized by their minerality, and the sugar-to-acid ratio is, in my opinion, good.
